Mark your calendars for Serve the City Saturday on July 19—our biggest serving opportunity of the year! As part of our Always On Mission theme, this all-church, all-ages event is designed for everyone to take part. It’s one-part serving as we come together to meet tangible needs in our community, one-part sharing as we hear from our local ministry partners and catch a vision for how God is moving through their work, and one-part fellowship as we build relationships, pray together, and celebrate with a picnic at the pavilion (RSVP Here). Whether you’re young or old, new to Gospel City or have been here for years—this day is for you. Let’s show up, link arms, and be the Church on mission together.

Help Us Get Ready to Serve!

As we prepare for Serve the City Saturday on July 19, we’re inviting you to start collecting donation items now to help us fully equip our service projects! We’ve created Amazon Wishlists for each of the local ministries we’re partnering with—these lists make it easy to know exactly what’s needed, from diaper bag supplies to school backpack essentials and more.

Collection bins will be available in the lobby starting June 15, and we’ll continue collecting through July 13. Please note: do not bring items before June 15 due to Vacation Bible School.

What to Expect on Serve the City Saturday

We’ve got a powerful morning planned. We’ll start the day by hearing from each of our incredible local ministry partners as they share their heart for mission and the real needs they’re meeting in our community. Then, we’ll jump into hands-on serving together, assembly-line style!

Here’s what we’ll be working on:

  • Diaper bags for LifePlan

  • School supply backpacks and toiletry bags for Transformation Ministries

  • Move-in bags for Hope Ministries

  • First-night bags for Josiah White’s

  • Notes of encouragement for each of our ministry partners

  • …and more!

After serving and praying over the items and the ministries receiving them, we’ll wrap up the morning with a time of fellowship, fun, and picnic outside at the pavilion and playground. Please RSVP, so we know you’re joining us.
