Mark Surber

Mark and his wife Amanda came to us from Ohio and have been married since 2001. They are blessed with five wonderful kids: Grace, Tess, Isaiah, Elliot, and Olive.

As an elder, Mark is passionate about cultivating a culture centered on the clarity of the gospel. He has a deep desire to see people respond to the clear preaching of God’s Word with humility and heartfelt adoration for the glory of God and the joy of His people. Mark’s heart for kids and youth to hear the clarity of the gospel drives much of his ministry, as he loves to introduce Jesus to the next generation so that they build their life on the Rock.

When he’s not serving in ministry, Mark is the Executive Vice President at BGR. He is also likely out training for his next ultramarathon, hiking with his family, cheering on Ohio State football, and making the most of every moment with his wife and kids.
