Born and raised to a Jewish family, Crista grew up traveling the U.S. for 15 years in ministry. This opportunity led to several years of worship leading experience, which has impacted her current role as a worship leader at Gospel City Church.

As the Worship and Gatherings Administrative Assistant, it is Crista‘s prayer that our church would taste and see that the Lord is good. Crista has a passion that we would worship both in spirit and in truth, with a deep rooted knowledge and understanding of who God is.

Crista is married to Benjamin Ward, and they have a son named Leonard Shelanu. She is intentional to cultivate homemaking as an essential rhythm of her day as a wife and mom. Her little fam often takes spontaneous trips to Chicago, drinks matcha + lattes, cruises at the beach and spends time with close family + friends.
